WEEK 6 EOC ME TIMES THREE

WEEK 6 EOC ME TIMES THREE
When it comes to three personal items I choose to use on a daily basis, I would say they would be Avon After Shave, St Ives Lotion, and the Gillette Shaver.  My personal hygiene is something that I take great pride in, and I consider a core value of my personality.  Every day a part of my bathing activities is to shave my face, and every other day my head..   I’ve tried many different razors, from the electric, to the disposable ones.  However none of those tend to give my face that smooth close cut I was longing for.  It wasn’t until I choose to use Gillette’s hand-held   razors, that I had finally found the right razors.  According to some research, it was said that Gillette products are targeted “where the major segment of the population considers shaving to be a desirable activity and the means to look clean and sophisticated for example India and America”. http://mgmt280.blogspot.com/2009/11/segmentation-targeting-and-positioning l Once you shave with a Gillette Razor , you will soon notice that you are gliding thru hair and left with a clean shave.
Another product that I use is Avon After Shave Lotion.  After completing a shave with my Gillette Shaver, I have to provide protection and fresh smells.  Avon is primary geared towards women customers, but its origin is ironic.” Historically, the first Avon Lady was actually a man, young salesman named David McConnell.”  David went door to door selling books, however realize that women wanted a gift when purchase an item. http://www.avoncompany.com/about/firsts.html  Thus he  began giving away perfume, and the rest is history.  Recently Avon has noticed increasing in the sale of men products.  As a result, Avon has began a campaign to increase its amount of men products available.  My last item of personal items of hygiene is St Ives lotion.  My skin is ver dry, due to my ethic make-up, therefore I can use just any brand of lotion.  St Ives provides athe skin proctection from dryness that I need.  “St. Ives is a skin care product line that has been around for decades. One of the most distinctive things about this brand is its commitment to using natural ingredients.” http://www.stives.com/Products/  Another item that has adapted that natural ingredient attitude is Red Bull.  When asked to introduce Red Bull Cola, the company responded by, “Why not?” asks the company—it’s strong and natural, just like the original Red Bull” Armstrong & Kotler (2011). WEEK 5:Health Reform

With all the political procedures taking place and all the elections going on, Health Care Reform is still a debate and topic at the forefront.  When it comes to the age brackets and the social status there are many factors to consider.  As far as the senior citizens those in the sixty five and over age group, “the federal governments regular payments to the Medicare Advantage program are set to be cut over the next 10 years by $132 billion” http://www.articlesbase.com/insurance-articles/how-does-health-care-reform-affect-senior-citizens-3371822.html. For those seniors who are on fixed income, they may not be able to afford medical coverage.  Now when it comes to those citizens in the thirties to sixty age bracket, where do they fall within this reform?  Well this is where the famlies come into the picture.  Most families area already working two jobs within the house to make ends meet. The healthcare reform bill would mandate that most US citizens and legal residents purchase “minimal essential coverage” for themselves and their dependents
As a result more money will be needed as an expense to take care of the family needs.  And with a man-date on purchasing it, there’s no way to by pass this law.  http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2010/0319/Health-care-reform-bill-101-Who-must-buy-insurance.  There is however a couple of groups who may not be as greatly affected by the bill as the rest of the age groups.  According to the law, ”
There are exceptions. Certain people with religious objections would not have to get health insurance. Nor would American Indians, illegal immigrants, or people in prison.”  So should I rob a bank, become a prisoner and not worry about the extra expense.   At least in prison they do provide medical care for inmates.  When it comes to those who have jobs possibly eighteen to thirty five, they have the option to purchase medical through their employers benefit plans.” Employees who have a pre-existing medical condition and who have been uninsured for at least six months will be eligible to enroll in the high-risk pool and receive subsidized premiums” http://www.zanebenefits.com/blog/2010/03/217/How+Health+Care+Insurance+Reform+Affects+U.S.+Employers+and+their+Employees   As a result of the study to be honest I could see being against the reform bill, I feel that it is a beneficial bill to pass.
